Methi seeds are bitter when raw and are often accompanied in any dish that has tamarind in them. It has a sweet and nutty tone when it's cooked and added with other spices. Used in sambars and rasams, methi seeds can also be used while making sabzi.
Methi seeds are often soaked in water overnight and then taken to control the sugar levels of diabetics. They can also be used to get relief from heartburn and gastrointestinal inflammation.
